SES China 2007 is going to take place in Xianmen, China on May 25-26. A couple of weeks after the one in Ohio, and a few days before the Toronto one.

China is important for the search engine bigwigs not only because of the sheer size of the population, but because of the nature of the challenge it poses.

Baidu.com leads in China, and Google and Yahoo are way behind it. Baidu is no.1 for China in Alexa, for all you guys who want proof of that kind.

SES 2006 in China was held in Nanjing and amongst the speakers were Jack Ma and Johnny Chou. Ma started Alibaba.com, later bought by Yahoo. He is still CEO of the group. Chou was Google China CEO.
