An article in the Wall Street Journal says that today, July the fourteenth marks the 10th anniversary of blogging.

This humble website is actually a blog too- you might have inferred that from the description :). There are tons of blogs in the world today, and more are getting added every day. The very first blog reportedly belonged to a certain Mr. John Barger who is also credited with inventing the word ‘weblog’ which later got shortened to the four letter word that has gone on to become a noun as well a verb. The Yellow Springs born blogger’s blog is still active here

Having a blog is one of the easiest ways to announce that one has arrived online today. According to the wikipedia article on Mr.Barger, he went broke and had to request for donations to keep his site alive. Strange, but apparently true.

This is not yours truly’s first blog. Like many others, I started off with blogspot and the free wordpress version ( wordpress.com) before moving on to start something on a domain owned by me. How long have you been associated with the blogging world ? And how has your experience been so far ? Newer things are being invented by the day, and I find the learning process to be an extremely fulfilling one.
