A few months back, Google had launched a major crackdown on the directory industry, which saw many directories disappearing from the SERPS, even for their own name. One of them was Jeff Behrendt’s Aviva directory. One of the possible reasons floating around was the interlinking that Jeff did with his directories ( He owns a number of them- Sevenseek, Apahcinc and Kwikgoblin for example). Another was the number of 301 redirects to Aviva.
