What do you think about the 2012 London Olympics logo ?

You might be wondering why I am talking about a sports event in a webmaster blog. Well as you can see, the webmaster is omnipresent. A fair amount of the coverage for London 2012 will be electronic, and there will be tons of sites created on the subject. Getting back to the main purpose of this post, what do you think of the logo? There are tons of designers and logo creators specialists amongst the freelance population, and I’d like to know what you think of the logo.

London beat Paris for the right to host the 2012 games after a fierce battle. This means that London will become the first city in the history of the modern Olympic games to host the summer event thrice. It has done so before in 1908 and 1948.

The logo cost 400,000 thousand pounds to make. It is actually a fancy representation of the four digits in the year that the games are going to be hosted. To be frank, I think the logo is crap. It is decent, but certainly not worth the money that has been spent on it. Plus, the logo is reported to be the reason for triggering seizures in epileptic patients who have suffered problems while watching the animated footage.

I should have probably written this as my first post, but anyways…

I wanted a nice name for the blog, and for some reason the name Random Seo looked quite appealing to me. The other extensions of the name are available, and you could register them if you want

This blog will bring news from the SEO, Internet Marketing and Webmaster world. There will be other stuff too, but it will primarily deal with the fields I have mentioned above.
